Who would imagine all the youngens from last season out. Patrick, TK and Lindblom. Dig deep and show some depth.

Flying into Philly to see my dad now.

First Patrick, now Lindblom. This season is cursed. This team is cursed. Has there ever been a team that has dealt with this much tragedy as the Flyers? Between odd diagnoses, deaths, and career ending injuries the Flyers have to lead the NHL since the expansion. Lindbergh, Tertyshny, Dupre, and Ashbee. Roger Nielson was diagnosed here. And then there are the career ending injuries.... Lindros (he played again, but not really), Primeau, Pronger, Forsberg, Laperrier, might as well add Morin to that list, and I know I’m missing more.

Just hearing of the OL news. Just brutal. My heart breaks for the kid.

All the best wishes for OL.

Oskar is in a fight for his life right now. I hope they diagnosed him in an early phase of the sarcoma, as the cure rates are pretty good when found early. It’s usually a childhood cancer, not as common in adults. I’m heartbroken for him and his family. Fck cancer.

This team is so due for some great luck for a lack of a better description. Sure getting Nolan Patrick was awesome but that’s balanced out by him being out for the season so far.
As far as Linblom and a hockey event that is secondary but still affects the team I’m sure very personally. As a teammate and friend I’m sure those guys are just as shocked as the fans are.
Praying that Oskar has a successful fight in beating this cancer and enjoying a long successful life.

If NP doesn't play again this year, what do the Flyers offer for a contract next year? What would the qualifying offer be?

That 4th line does not inspire a lot of confidence. Hopefully TK and Raffl get back sooner rather than later.

Time for the goalies to stand on their heads and help us win some low scoring games.

It does seem like we've had our share of tragedies with this org., but other orgs have certainly had a lot too. My hope is that he beats this and comes back stronger and I feel that he will. If he's healthy and never plays another game, then so be it. I'd love to see him fully come back but hockeybis secondary here.

It will be a very team friendly offer I'm sure. I'm not worried about it. Hopefully it doesn't come to that and we get him back at some point this year.

The 4th line held their own vs Colorado, the Frost JvR line got killed. Hayes line wasn’t bad but got burned on some goals against.
2nd and 3rd line and power play needs to be much better.

The season and the team's fortunes this season are irrelevant compared to what Lindblom is facing. When it comes to that, I really don't care what happens this season. I refuse to be selfish about it.

With OL out for the forseeable future you think that puts PHI in the Hall race?

NJ would obviously retain cap unless cap goes the other way

I think other teams have far better packages to offer than us. I rather trade for an easier trade target with scoring touch. Like Mike Hoffman. No clue if he’s even available though.

Cap issues aside I just can't see us making a trade with NJ.

And do you really want to send NJ a top prospect and pick of ours for a player they're just going to lose anyway? At minimum that's what's it's going to take.

Prayers for Lindblom. So sad. Hopefully he beats this and lives a normal life. Tough stretch with these injuries but we need to step up.

Nice to see how the rest of the league has responded to the sad news as well. That's why I love hockey.

Obviously depends on the package and whether or not he re-signs which is unlikely. Looking at recent deals it seems like quantity is sent over quality like EK deal. I woudnt mind sending a flippable roster player, a prospect not named Frost or Farabee and a conditional 1st pick.

Really tragic and scary news about OL. I hope they caught it early and he responds well to treatment. I’ve got to admit I’m curious to see how the team responds tonight. I’m glad they’ve got an older guy in Hayes who has been through a similar situation with both his parents.

So Sanhiem or Ghost, York and a 1st is what NJ is probably going to look for in that scenario just as a starting point. Plus whatever it takes to make it work cap wise.

I just can't see us taking on a big ticket player without sending one the other way and I don't think NJ wants JVR or Voracek.
